We're aware of scam attempts made via text message asking recipients to complete a Cash App transfer. As a reminder, Cash App will never ask you to complete a transaction via SMS - payment activity occurs in-app only.
If you receive a message from someone posing as Cash App, do not click any links or reply - we also recommend blocking the sender to prevent further messages.
If possible, please send a screenshot of the message to
spoof@squareup.com so we can further investigate.
