Investigating - We're aware of scam attempts made via text message asking recipients to complete a Cash App transfer. As a reminder, Cash App will never ask you to complete a transaction via SMS - payment activity occurs in-app only.

If you receive a message from someone posing as Cash App, do not click any links or reply - we also recommend blocking the sender to prevent further messages.

If possible, please send a screenshot of the message to spoof@squareup.com so we can further investigate.

Resolved - Our team's gotten a fix in place for customers whose Cash Card was declining at a merchant, but showing as captured in-app.

Declined payments should have corrected themselves and your balance should now be up to date. If you had a payment fail, you're welcome to retry it at this time.

Identified - Our team's continuing to work on a solution, but declined payments should correct themselves within an hour or two as we work through affected payments. Your balance should also correct itself automatically. Once your balance has been corrected, you're welcome to retry a failed payment.

Resolved - Our team’s been able to get a fix in place for iPhone 12 customers experiencing the app crashing upon startup. In order to resolve this, please uninstall and reinstall the latest version of the app from the App Store.
